About Lakshya Family
Lakshya Family is a registered voluntary organisation (registered under the Societies Registration Act 2017, Bihar, India). Founded on 2nd April 2013 by just 6 students in Muzaffarpur, it has grown into a movement with 700+ dedicated volunteers working across India.
Our primary aim is to uplift underprivileged children through free education, campaign for a cleaner and greener environment, and foster the holistic development of youth and communities we serve.

To serve society by providing knowledge, education, and social service through voluntary efforts, helping every individual discover their 'lakshya' (goal) and the art of success.

Free Education Initiative
Providing free elementary and competitive exam education to underprivileged children in slum communities of Muzaffarpur, Patna, Hajipur, Delhi, and Mumbai.
Green Environment Campaign
Dedicated to tree plantation drives, waste management awareness, and building a cleaner, greener India for future generations.
Youth Talent Development
A platform for young people to explore their talents, develop new skills, and channel their energy into constructive, nation-building work.
Community Social Service
Reaching out to communities with nutrition and health awareness, and supporting families in rural Bihar with essential resources and care.
Competitive Exam Preparation
Free coaching and mentorship for underprivileged students preparing for competitive government examinations.

The Lakshya Journey
🗓 APRIL 2, 2013 — The Beginning — 6 Students, One Dream
A small group of 6 students in Muzaffarpur, Bihar decided to form "Lakshya Family" — a platform for youth to engage in community service at their convenience, starting with free education for slum children.
📌 2013 – 2015 — Growing Roots in Muzaffarpur
The team expanded its volunteer base, establishing regular free tutoring centres and organising awareness campaigns targeting children from underprivileged slum families in Muzaffarpur.
🌿 2015 – 2017 — Expansion & Environmental Campaigns
Lakshya Family spread its wings to Patna and Hajipur, and began organising environment campaigns — tree plantation drives, cleanliness initiatives, and social awareness activities.
🏛 2017 — Officially Registered as a Society
With bigger aims and growing impact, Lakshya Family was officially registered as a society under the Indian Societies Registration Act 2017 — gaining formal recognition as an NGO.
🌆 2017 – 2021 — National Expansion — Delhi & Mumbai
Operations expanded to Delhi and Mumbai, attracting volunteers from across India. The competitive exam preparation programme was launched to empower youth for government careers.
🚀 2021 – PRESENT — 700+ Volunteers & Counting
Today, Lakshya Family boasts 700+ volunteers, operates in 5 major cities, and continues its mission with free education, social service, and campaigns — marching forward with education as its weapon.
